Contact

Get in touch.

Referrals, partnership enquiries, volunteering or a general question, all of it starts here. We aim to respond within two working days.

Refer someone

Before you fill this in.

So nobody wastes their time, here is who we can take.

We can work with

  • Young people aged 11–16 at risk of exclusion or outside mainstream education
  • Young people known to the Youth Justice Service, including prevention and diversion
  • Adults facing barriers to work, training or education
  • People in or leaving the criminal justice system
  • People living in Barrow, the Furness peninsula or South Cumbria

We are not the right service if

  • Someone needs urgent mental health or medical treatment: contact 111, or 999 in an emergency
  • There is an immediate safeguarding risk: contact Westmorland and Furness children’s or adult social care directly
  • The person lives outside our delivery area, though do ask and we will try to signpost

You can refer someone else, or refer yourself. Both are welcome.

What happens nextWe acknowledge every referral within two working days, then arrange an initial conversation with the person being referred. Nothing is decided without them.

Or write ‘self-referral’ if this is for you.

First name only at this stage.

A few sentences is plenty. Please don’t include sensitive detail here. We will discuss that securely.

Partners & funders

Working together.

We work with schools, the local authority, health services, justice partners, employers and funders across Furness and South Cumbria.

If you are commissioning a service rather than exploring a partnership, the commissioners page has the process, governance documents and outcome framework you will want first.

Case studies

Request a full case study.

Our written case studies contain detail about individual participants that we don’t publish openly, out of respect for the people involved. They are shared with commissioners, funders and referral partners on request, with the participant’s consent.

Tell us who you are and what you’re assessing, and we’ll send what’s relevant.

Commissioning, funding, a referral decision, or something else.

Volunteer

Give some time.

Volunteers support sessions, mentor participants and help with practical things like mock interviews and CV checks. No particular background is needed, but everyone is DBS checked and trained before working with participants.

If you have been through something similar yourself, that experience is genuinely valuable here.

Tell us a bit about yourself and how much time you have.
