Clear Pathways Project CIC is committed to keeping children, young people and adults at risk safe. This page explains how, and what to do if you are worried about someone.
If you are worried about someone right now
If a child or adult is at immediate risk of harm, call 999.
If you have a safeguarding concern that is not an emergency, contact Westmorland and Furness Council’s safeguarding teams directly, or Cumbria Constabulary on 101. You do not need our permission to do this and you do not need to tell us first.
Raising a concern with us
If your concern relates to our staff, our volunteers or something that happened in one of our sessions, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead:

Concerns are acknowledged the same working day wherever possible and always within one working day.
Our commitments
- All staff and volunteers hold enhanced DBS certificates before working with participants
- Safeguarding training is completed at induction and refreshed annually
- We have a named Designated Safeguarding Lead and a written safeguarding policy, reviewed annually
- We follow Westmorland and Furness safeguarding procedures and share information under written agreements
- Participants are told at the outset what we will keep confidential and what we cannot
- Concerns are recorded, escalated and reviewed, not handled informally
